Bonsai Boy Of New York

Flowering Dwarf Hibiscus - Medium (malvaviscus arboreus) Flowering Bonsai are those bonsai where the chosen tree or bush is also known for the beauty or desirability of their flowers. This means that there can be many trees that you can make into flowering bonsai specimans.

One aspect of general maintenance is particularly useful when it comes to blossoms. Maintenance pruning is done to keep bonsai in miniature size and encourage shoot growth. Maintenance pruning can be done all through the year. If the bonsai is a flowering or fruit bearing plant, maintenance pruning helps bonsai to blossom with more flowers or bear more fruits. In the case of non flowering bonsai, maintenance pruning prompts healthy growth.

Bonsai trees in Japan today are still highly regarded across all classes as cultural symbols, and a flowering bonsai tree on its tokonoma, or special niche or display area, is always shown during the Japanese New Years celebration.
